NYC-Wraps Inc.’ Guide to Setting Up Files for Vehicle Wraps

1.    Highly Preferred File Type: Adobe Illustrator .EPS (Please contact us for other acceptable file formats)

2.    Prepare Text or Line Art (such as logo's) in Vector format and convert all fonts to paths/curves/outlines. (When possible)
3.    We recommend all photography to be at least 75dpi – 150dpi at full size. (Images with a higher resolution are overkill and may result in additional setup fees)

4.    When using images in artwork, be sure to embed all images. (Linked files may result in additional Design cost: @ $75/hr)

5.    Add a 6" bleed on Top, Bottom, Left and Right of your artwork. (Please specify bleed, on a separate layer)

6.    You may scale-down artwork to any size, however it is extremely important that all files are in proportion. (Please note EXACT final size of graphic when submitting files) - see file-naming convention below.

7.    Do not Crop or Cut-Out any part of the graphic. Please submit a solid rectangle for each side (Do-not clip-path or power-clip wheel-wells, windows or the shape of the vehicle).

8.    Specify critical colors as Pantones. Only pantones will be color matched upon the client request.  Color matching of images (bitmaps) will not be exact and extra costs may be incurred to adjust images. (Extensive color matching WILL incur additional costs)

9.    NYC Wraps Inc. could provide you with a standard vehicle outline template based on Year, Make and Model of your vehicle. (We do not guarantee that measurements are exact; Please measure your vehicle from extreme bumper to bumper length for exact specs) –Templates are considered a courtesy we provide our clients. We will not be held responsible for inaccurate sizes. (unless, we are designing the entire project).

10.    Be sure to set-up artwork so that the vehicle outline template is on a separate layer from your graphics.

11.    Submit each side as a separate file. In Illustrator the graphic must be the same size as the document page size. Name files using the following naming convention: Example Driverside_72x192.eps (Side_Size.eps) –This ensures proper scaling of your files. (Note: the size you specify should be the extreme measurements of your vehicle plus the 6” bleed all around)

12.    Files can be submitted through our FTP site. (Contact Us for details) or mail a Disk to:
